Finds German Plastic Show T Cohn Western, some of our friends share with the items they found. It is interesting what turns up at a European toy soldier show. Also an update on the German Plastic Show.

Plaho Army Truck

The wooden army truck was made by PLAHO in former Eastern Germany GDR (= German Democratic Republic). As it is typical for all communistic countries they always ha a lack of modern materials, so they used wood for their army toys up to the 1980s.

Update

Never see those T Cohen figures before they are a mix of poses base in marx and mpc some poses to me.
I have a Plaho T60 and Army truck long nose as well w seated figures.
They made cannons as well to go with 1/26 scale alike Elastolin range figures made by most DDR toy makers.
I picked up a bunch of the T Cohn figures along they way over the years; didn’t know until now who made them; figured they were Marx copies though. Thanks for the ID.
I think the T.Cohn figure running with pistol is based upon a Marx Untouchable figure. The Marx figure is holding an ax in his other hand. Remove the ax and he sort of looks like a cowboy although as Stad mentions he uses him in more modern settings. Most of T.Cohn own figures seem to be copies of Marx figures except the doll house family and some of the GIs in their WWII sets.
The wagon looks like those that were included in Dollar Tree cowboy and Indian sets not too long ago.
My mom brought home a used Brumberger set in 1970. It included these cowboys and Indians. Both sets had green, yellow, blue, and red figures. I do remember having only the cowboy poses shown above, including horses. I think there were maybe another two Indian poses, and a horse as well.
Kent has an interesting history of T. Cohn, Brumberger, Bergen/Beton, etc. on his site.

I just fleshed out the T.Cohn story.
That’s the playset box, Fort Cheyenne. As it was used it only came with the fort walls and the figures. I am glad that I didn’t have the pink or purple cowboys. I would have to do some explaining to my friends.
