Four Germany Summer Plastic Show, we round up are reporting of the show with photos from Detlef Heerbrand. Detlef is another old friend like Markus Lecksheid and Andreas Dittmann. I have appreciated them sharing their photos of the show with us. Laurie and I wished we could have been there, but as most of you know Americans are banned from Europe right now.

Awesome photos and fun ,i’m very happy for all in germany and others attending it …
thank you for sharing the photos !!!
The ‘rare Elastolin game of 40 mm ‘ was in fact a copy or base in f the original game set made by ROJAS Y MALRET from Spain .(Battle of the Metaurus )
Elastolin version did use it own 40/45 mm scale range romans painted in two version as if were two armies along a license produced original spaniard war elephant with bowman mounted in it ,first made in plastic and very nice done in 1/32 approx scale .
I have full collection of the sets and post history of about it long ago in FB blogs and others it .
Rojas Y Malaret made the carthaginians and romans soldiers 57/60 MM scale in 10 poses included Hannibal and Scipio/also used as Claudius Nero for two battles playset and add on sets. The figures are unique in poses and depiction of historical era or very alike 1938 and 1960s films version .(Note the B/W photos from 1930s film used in Elastolin art box than in return are base in same aet box original made by Rojas…).
The release of Rojas Y Malaret set are -Battle of Metaurus-1961 54/60 mm scale and Battle of Zama-1962.
I recently sold two war elephants and several soldiers from my collection .
This was one of rare times Elastolin ever copied other .Other Rojas and Malaret sets were also copied by UK firm Waddington and French CAPIEPA .But the ancient sets figures poses were no copied by those ,only the Little bighorn game playset very nice done figures .Elastolin did copy LBH set but used its own 45 mm range figures while Waddington either used license copies of spaniards figures and later sold with it own copies of same poses base in the original Spaniard poses set.
Rojas and M = (Eduardo Rojas y Rai Ferrer.)Produced 5 playset board games in total plus add on cases many sets from 1961-1966.
There is a Museum dedicated to it in Spain with plenty photos along the copies made by other countries and license agreement documents of others with Spaniard company as proof of license permit granted by Rojas to Elastolin ,Waddington and Capiepa.
best regards
