Yes this is a Processed Plastic Truck. I have heard and seen examples in private guide on Processed Plastic and Timmee. Until last month I had not seen one in the flesh. This is one of the items that show up at the Marx convention. The party that had the truck commented that it was done because of anti war feeling.
One interesting difference from the other version of Proccessed Plastic Army Truck besides the colors is it is not design with a hitch. We will update as we get more information.
RE:The Orange/Green Timmee truck I saw a solid Yellow trucks and solid Red trucks in a market stall in Manila several years ago but instead of the “Canvas” top they had “Wooden” sides,Think of the Marx Training Centre Troop Truck. The sides also had spaces between the boards. Can’t remember if they had tow hitches. Those were the only 2 colours I saw so don’t know if there were other colours.I planned to go back later to buy some but could never find the stall again. That San Miguel beer is some pretty good stuff.
Interesting what you saw Brian. You could have seen trucks done by Comansi. I saw an example of one on a Spanish auction web site about six months ago. The one on the web site was in army colors, but they could have done them in other colors. It will be interesting when one evers turn up. I was surprised on one we got in West Virginia. We will have to see if more turn up.
I can not tell you if the San Miguel beer is good or not as both Laurie and I do not like beer. I have tried everything from Lucky Lager to Coors to Guiness with no luck. I have had a friend along on some trips to europe who loves beer and he has been in seventh heaven. The only beers I can stand are root bear and birch beer.
So this is like when TIMMEE produced their figures in yellow, florescent pink, and blue back in the 1970’s? I saw that as an obvious “give” to the anti-war folks.

It is very possible that is the reason.Tthe person I bought the truck mention the anti war movement and the anti war feeling. This period saw many changes G.I. Joe doing adventures is one example. We will have to see if anyone can give us more information on this period.
I know the truck pictured is based on the real Deuce and 1/2 truck but is the Processed plastic/Timmee “Squarenose” truck based on a real truck?
Yes. This truck is based on the REO “Eager Beaver” 2 1/2 ton M34 Army truck of the 1950s.

Welcome and thank you for the information.
According to this site it’s based on a Ford prototype cargo truck:

Welcome aboard and thank you for the infromation. Timmee has been a malign company with collectors, but they did some great figures. I always like the soldier with the bayonet rifle at waist. The site itself is great and does just to this great company that is now gone.
I was always partial to the soldier running with the gas mask on. Very cool.
I still remember the day my buddy and I made the discovery that the Medic with the lantern had BOOBIES !!!
Yeah! Who needs an IV when you got……OK, I’ll stop.
WHAT SCALE?!
