Update on Austin Miniatures

We have heard from Austin Miniatures that their new cowboys which will be debuting at OTSN will be in brown and gray. So far no price for the figures.  These figures will be just one of the many new items available at the show.

    My good friend Nick at TSSD did his Wyatt Earp and Clanton Gang figures in gray. He did his Romans in gray. Now he’s doing his new Alamo Defenders in gray. I can’t see how the color gray is a natural fit for any of those lines. So when Austin Miniatures releases their new figures in gray and brown, I will cheerfully purchase my set in the brown color.

      My guess as to why they would be in gray is that somewhere down the line they could end up as civilian scouts or something of that nature in a Civil War setting. I was hoping for that buckskin color, but I understand why he would opt for gray, more bang for the buck.
