Two May Collect Time Peco Davy Crockett

Two May Collect Time Peco Davy Crockett as we come to the end of the month, I have decided to do another dip into the collection. First up is a Peco Davy Crockett. Also, flea markets are starting to open up.

Two May Collect Time Figures

Two May Collect Time Davy
Peco made a nice figure of Davy Crockett. This figure was no doubt done to cash in on the Disney Davy Crockett craze. Because Disney could not trademark just Davy Crockett companies were able to issue out items with Davy Crockett. I like this figure, and one time I had the figure on the card. It is hard to find a loose figure with accessories.
Two May Collect Time Horrible
I first came in contact with Horrible Histories when I found one of their books in a shop at Heathrow airport. Over the years I got other of their books on trips to the UK. They released in 2013ago a series of figures which could be used in a game. Some of the figures were personality figures and other figures are general troops. Here are two Egyptians, which you could use to fill out your army.
Indian firing rifle
I first thought this figure might be from Hong Kong but it could be from Spain. I will waitnionbugler from you the readers.
Union bugler
Here is one of the recent Civil War figures that have been released there are two questions? One is a copy of another figure. the other question who made it?

Flea Markets

My state is moving to open up more business. One area that is opening up is the flea markets. I was able to do one on Memorial Day. There were only forty tables, but I was able to find a few items nothing exciting. Another opened on Thursday. One of my biggest flea markets Renningers Adamstown will open Sunday. It will be interesting to see who turns up and what shows up. I will let you know.

Imex did this pose in 1/32 scale, too with their larger 1/32 artillery sets. I don’t recall if they did a separate infantry set in the larger scale, but I do remember getting their infantry figures with a gun and cannon crew.

    • ERWIN SELL says:

Yes your are very correct Wayne
Is that most IMEX sets were made in HO first, this in 1995 .The 1/32 infantry set come much later and does have this pose of course
The set with this pose is the Union infantry set . As far i know and have the artillery set does not come with it from factory in HO or 1/32 version ,maybe some one mix it !?

Ironical IMEX carry these Chinese DGN made copies set as well under Billy V import trademark as well now.

Imex cary also Airfix US 7Tth cav set in nice RB color but made in the stiff late plastic they start using later.
These Chinese copies are in less stiff palstic made .
The mounted pose with banner you saw and like before is from same DGN set and copy of former ESCI/HO sets mix mounted poses made .

Erwin, you are correct there was an infantry set in 1/32 scale. It has been a long time and you jarred my memory. But there was a larger cannon set for both the Confederate and Union that contained a gun with a sprue of figures containing both the Artillery crews and Infantry poses. I know because I bought both sets in Mobile Alabama at the Hobbytown USA sometime in 1995 or 96.

I may be wrong about the bugler figure though. I know I have him in 1/32 scale and 1/72 scale. I’d have to dig into my collection and sort through it. Right now that’s easier said than done. There were infantry figures in the artillery sets I bought. I remember thinking it odd – but neat.

I was at an Economics Seminar at USA (University of South Alabama) and set the guys up in the room I was staying in. It was one of those things that stand out in my memory.

  5. Greg Liska says:

The Bugler did come in the Infantry set. The DGN guys seem to have been pantographed up from the 25mm guys, showing less detail. They also seem to have trouble getting all the figures in the right scale. Some are way smaller than the others. No one has yet identified where DGN got the mounted poses from. I mentioned it, but the crickets drown me out. They are 4 decent poses: smaller, lacking detail, but good and unique enough that I kept them.

    Great looking Bugler !
