Plastic Figure Showcase May Figure Collection

Plastic Figure Showcase May Figure Collection, since it is a little quiet, I decided to dip again into the collection. It is interesting how you remember to get an item into the collection including after going to court.

Plastic Figure Showcase May Figure Collection Time

Plastic Figure Showcase May Indian
As I said in the introduction, I remember getting the above figure after going to court. It was also on my birthday. I was a witness not a defendant. Earlier in the year, my car was hit in the back. Normally in the accident the two parties’ insurance taken care of paying for the damages. There was one problem the other party did not have insurance! The insurance company wanted to recapture its money and file in court against the other party. Laurie and I went to the hearing. The defendant was asked if she had any witness? She looked around and there was only us. She was found at fault and ordered to pay. We never heard the result so I figure she paid.
After the court case, we went to a hobby shop ( now closed) and I bought this figure. It is a Chinese copy of an Elastolin Indian firing pistol and knife. It was one of two Elastolin composition figures I got on a trip to Philadelphia as a child. I will show both versions in a future post.
Plastic Figure Showcase May Resin
goi9ng through the collection I found this resin figure. I think it represents when David Crockett got stabbed by lance in the John Wayne Alamo movie. what are your thoughts
Braidwood pioneer.
I keep finding various poses of the Braidwood figures in the collection. This time it is a pioneer.
hunter
Our final figure for this article still has its price tag on it $.50. Usually, figures at this price are thrown into a box and you pick. The pose is a hunter with a dog.

The resin “Crockett” figure is from Conte. Part of an Alamo gun crew. Could be used as figure stabbed in back by lance. Looking close, he’s holding a cannonball. I’ve been chasing these resin figures for a while. Conte is listing this and the rest of the gun crew right now. There are similar resin figures from the Alamo sets; some dressed in buckskin, most dressed in 1840’s style. I’m collecting the latter, and after some conversions, turning them into ACW Quantrill’s Raiders. To my knowledge, no company makes Missouri Bushwackers and their nemesis, the Union Red Legs. So, I use western figures, and alter the equipment to fit in. Any suggestions about which figures would be suitable for my latest project?

I got the Indian figure plus others from a company in the UK called Tiger. I think the company comes from Denmark they have a lot of shops here in the UK. But they do not sell them anymore as I bought those from them a few years ago when they first opened.
