Dear Stad,
I wish I could buy some of those dollar store figures from you. That chain is only in the
east not here in Utah like Dollar Tree, if you want to pick up two set of each for me. I will
pay you extra for them,if not have a nice day Ed Bearnson 5-6-20.
Those Mars Germans look absolutely brilliant. I have never seen figures like it before will be getting four sets of them.
They do look great! I will withhold my final judgement, however, until I see them unpainted. Fingers crossed!
I secretly conspired with Serg to make this set! YaY!!
I hope you are well?
That explains everything! LOL I’m doing fine, Christian, and I hope you and all of the other Stad’s “Comment Time” readers are doing well and staying safe too!
The new Germans look great! Good, reasonable poses and a new subject, handled well. This would have been one of the few lucky VG units that had the latest weapons and the scratch made, but every effective semi-auto Volksgrenadier rifle ( if I’m seeing this right) and a lot of MP-44s. The Nachtsichtgeraet 1 or Vampyr was a special piece of equipment not handed out lavishly. It required a 40 pound battery pack mounted on the shooter’s back. Whoever painted them did a great job, too. I can see it’s a mix of the ’44 Dot pattern and the ’45 Leibermuster camo. Somebody really thought this through.
I guess I should add; I’m aware that ’44 Dot was issued to the WSS, certainly almost exclusively and Leibermuster was produced late in the war and may never have been issued. These guys would have been a very elite few. The unpainted versions won’t have that issue for sticklers.
