New Unknown Russian Company, Denitz has alert us to a new company making 65mm copies of the Lafredo Western figures. The figures have been a favorite of mine for years. I first saw them at a Plastic Warrior show. The Unknown Maker has taken the figures from four inches and pantagraph down to 65mm. Take a look and enjoy them. (Note this company has no name at this time. So I am calling the Unknown Maker until a name is established. My luck it will be like No Name and stick.)

Very nice ,i love then!!!
Hope good price!!? .
Lafredo figures have attonishing well done action poses, some a bit odd looking but most are very moving realistic made x era .
They look great ,looking forward having then …
Once again nothing wrong with coping as far well done or variation done .I hate when some complain about plagiarism when it had been done among plenty no HK-Chinese makers for decades. But only criticise the chinese x it and not their own .
Funny another (no name maker) from Russia.it look in russia they can get along making toys with out any problems as unknown maker, license ,patent or else.It does not bother me at all but looks interesting …
my though
These are done nice. Cowboys look like a better version of Hoeffler cowboys. I like 4 of the cowboy poses. The one leaning back, is hit! An arrow in the belly. Can’t use the native Americans. I only collect Apaches. Maybe down the road, they will be available as loose figures? Hopefully, someone will make western figures I can use as Quantrill’s Raiders- a new diorama I’m planning. Figures need jackets, and pioneer-type hats; wide brim, round top. Acquired plenty of arms holding Colt Navy ACW pistols & holsters. Using Alamo figures, and cutting away out-of-date accessories. Getting there.
Very dynamic figures. Tho few figures are inexpensive these days, it’s becoming an exciting opportunity again.
I’m not sure why everyone’s excited regarding these figures.
While they are beautiful studies and I would love them in my collection the price is very, very high.
In Australian dollars over $200 !!
Am I dreaming of has our hobby just gone through the proverbial roof..
Stay safe everyone.
Alan
Alan, I agree the prices on some figures are so high. Due to the methods of productions, the makers can only do low runs. They have found they have a market at the high prices.
Fortunately, there are some makers still at reasonable prices.
In my personal view and opinion please …
The price is high as cost production limited run mold figures at today market is what considered acceptable ;around USD $8 to 8.75 per figure or alike Publius ,PP or Warghansa prices .Replicant brand sale from around USD $4 to 6 per figures today and are far cray in detail compared to these or many other new made still nice figures too and sale since 90s without stop .
Barzso and many CONTE not longer made but produced till other day are about same in price now .
I also need make update or make minor correction here..
Lafredo DID made then in 35mm ,54mm , “65mm”-/70 mm< (often looking as tall as 77 mm max top hat/feather crown, depending pose) and also in the 110mm scales(The more erroneous attributed better known figures scales of Lafredo as misconception ) and these new made are not down scale but cloned from the "65" mm scale version poses made by LAFREDO as i have few then and posted also in several spaniards booklet in all scales made .The 65 mm were sold crude wasted mold recast in 80s in bag but with alot factory excess and still occasional sold in bag around off website (todocollecion) . You can see a minor explanation LAFREDO scale here along the copies they did over TIMPO solid series with license but made in way much better than TIMPO plastic material nad LAFREDO coopies cloned of TIMPO vintage last x ever . In this blog from my good friend Juan Carlos from Spain http://soldadosdeplastico.blogspot.com/search/label/LAFREDO
Yet a LAFREDO original vintage figure pose 65mm -70 mm today will cost from minimum in USD from $10 to 25 each easy and not mint or more likely probably in poor condition plus hard get all poses in any one lot or need paid separated per figure shipping and time consuming to complete all these 16 poses .I myself taking years get only few poses …
The lot overall is an opportunity get then all in one lot set .Price high but a chance for many out there willing and i’m sure will buy then as there plenty buying those expensive brands …
Again to each his own like ,preference ,choices and money of course.
my thoughts
best …
Some unusual and neat poses. A few I don’t think I could use, that is often the case, isn’t it?
Overall, I would be happy to add them to the collection-particularly the Indians. For me, though the scale is off and even if they were in scale at the price it wouldn’t be worth buying the entire sets just to get the poses I like. JMO
they look interesting, when should they be available?
Price approx?
Detlef ..
They are available now from Denitz. they are $129.90 plus $14.00

O/T. sorry, but just rec’d word that the Midwest Show in Lafayette Ind. has been rescheduled for Sunday June 7th.
Just received my order. They are a bit large but really neat poses. Reminds you of Atlantic.
Glad you like them.
