February Part Two Figure Collection Time Comansi

February Part Two Figure Collection Time. we will look t some more items from my collection. first, we will be looking at some Spanish figures including some Indian army. Next, we will look at some items which are being transferred from my collection going into Laurie’s collection. (Yes, she is a collector too.)

February Part Two Figure Spanish Plastic

February Part Two Figure Oliver
Starting our Spanish section, we look at Oliver (Pech Hermanos) soldier mine detector. As we have mentioned before Oliver acquired the Pech Hermanos’ molds and added a base. You can see the outline of the old base.
February Part Two Figure Jescan Indian
American westerns were very popular in Spain and the toy companies respond with a lot of western figures. Here we have a Jescan or Reamsa 54mm Indian chief.
February Part Two Figure Mountie
Going through the collection I found this mountie in the Spanish drawer. I have no idea who made him. We will see if Erwin knows.

Comansi

Comansi Indian Army
Comansi has done a wide range of figures. One set Comansi did was the Indian army. I remember getting this set at an MFCA show when it was held in Delaware. I am not sure that I got five figures or six figures.

Here are the poses
1. rifle out to the right side
2. With automatic weapon at waist

Laurie’s Collection

cherub
Going through the collection, I found two items that I have transferred to Laurie’s collection. The first is a Cherub playing a flue. On our wedding cake, we had a series of these figures. I made a mistake of selling them after the wedding. Laurie has held it over me for the last 27 years. I have reacquired several of them. she claims one of the Cherubs was playing a horn while standing on one leg. The figures were made in Germany. I have no idea who made them. I will show the other poses in the near future.
Jescan caveman
The other item going into Laurie’s collection is the above Jescan caveman with a spear across the waist. Years ago, Laurie and I along with our late very good friend John Reichl went to a Karbon Germany for a toy soldier show before Peter’s show. At the show, I found a mammoth for Laurie. When we got the mammoth home we set up a diorama with the mammoth and various Jescan cavemen.
Top dinosaur
Our final item for Laurie’s collection is an item that I got last year. It is a dinosaur done by Topps in the 1980s’

The Mountie police if 75/80 mm scale were recast sold by Iragra -Spain ,set has nice action 6 poses .
Sold unpainted ,red, blue ,gree or others colors in bags or packs in late 60s early 70s
Artist/sculptor designer was Marti Castells from family business Castells craft (Artesania Castells) These are the same mold-cast artist sculptor company that produce most figures/toys for Jecsan,PH,Comansi .
Iragra was small toy company selling figures in 70s till early 90s .There is a non corroborated comment about that the mounties were designed for/by Jecsan who after short decision decide not produce a trapper set match for it and sold/lease the mold later to Iragra. That is reason figures have a very alike resemblance to Jecsan ad early first series Comansi in style .

The Jecsan Cavemen were offered recast in 90s but not imported here ,i manage get samples recast x myself in 1990s .The set was repeated in 30 mm scale a bit more crude painted and later unpainted to match in scale more accordingly with Prehistoric beast made originally as the 60 mm figures were too big x then .Original figures are very value by collectors from Spain-portugal ,south america ,more still are the dinosaurs and mammals prehistorics made .Full playset call” antidiluvianos “sale for over 2000.00 USD easy today .Playset have 7 human figures and 12 beast plus few palms tress and two rocks .

Brave pose is by Reamsa paraires comanches series second sets made .No part of set recast in 90s .
REAMSA made 69 poses indians total in 60 to 70 mm scale x 7 different sets .
Barely a fraction of mix poses were ever recast as Mold were split in halves of 4 poes each if foot or 2 poses if mounted .Whoever choose recast ,pick in no order the figures off halves found or choice ….
    my thoughts
    best .
