February Odds Ends Two, we have a number of items to share. First with Thunder Tank including a video of this toy. Next, Lynn Graves got a Spanish bullfighting set which he needs to identify. Third, Greg Liska has a question on a comparison between Lido and Timmee. Finally, Rahway clues us on the next Mars Russian Assualt Troops.

Greg Liska’s Question
Greg Liska has the following question. My toy soldier query today is: How big is the Lido large mounted ACW figure compared to the Timmee ACW mounted figure? Would they work together? The Timmee mounted officer is rather big. He’s at least 70mm in scale if not more. The Lido large ACW mounted guy is listed a 3″ in some sources, but that may not mean much. I’m wondering if anybody out there could make a comparison.
Can you help with this question for Greg?
One other thing in regards to Greg, he is being deployed again and hopes this will be his last. Laurie and I wish Greg good health and stay safe. I am sure you do too.
Mars Russsian Assualt Troops
Rahway has clued us in on the next upcoming Mars set. It is 32026 Russian Assualt Troops. You can see the poses at Drum and Flag. The set has two-wheeled weapons a machine gun and an assault rifle. These figures will be welcome additions to your Russian army.
Gosh, my 8 year-old self would have broken several minor laws to have had that tank.
Me too on the tank.
Best wishes for a safe return for Greg.
Wish Greg quick passing deployment and fast safe return and not more please.
I can not help in lido figure as not have in my collection, sorry ..
Are they selling a tank toy in Walmart???Where is that ???WOW that is a change versus past …i’m wonder how long will last with so much peace B.. around !!..
Thank you all. Correction: I AM deployed. I’ve been deployed for over 2 months now. I think Paul misunderstood because I travel so much on this one. I spend 3 to 5 days in one country, then off to the next. I think I was in Kuwait when I first asked the question. I’m in Saudi Arabia now, headed to Qatar in a few days, etc. and so on for months on end. I hope somebody can make that figure size comparison for me. There’s not much I want to add to my collection these days and I could use a toy about now.
Sorry about that Greg, I read your email a little too dast when writing. I will be working to get your comparison done. That is what friends are for.
You tattletale! In this case, the Timmee-Lido-Reamsa cavalry units are already formed. I just thought the big Lido mounted officers could be commanders. I’ve even done one troop of Federals converted to all Kepis and there’s a Confederate troop of ‘Partisan Rangers’ / Raiders / Bush Whackers that are converted cowboys.
Sorry. That got placed oddly. That was for Paul G.
Thanks, Paul (S). I got time to ponder it and wait out any assistance.
Just watched that tank video! So cool!
That tank is awesome! The dogs might even really enjoy that one. And it’s only $398!! In any case, much better than the cardboard one I got from an ad in a comic book in the ’60s.
That Mars Russian Assault team looks pretty good. The machine guns are much needed. Is that a flamethrower I see on one of the figures?
Yes, Alec, the one figure should be with a flamethrower.
The Mars Russians look great will be getting four sets of them.
Thunder Tank ONLY as Walmart. Bullfight Playset is a store display? Fantastico!
Our friend Greg Liska is a retired Special Forces
Major. FAIR WARNING: Once he determines compatibility of brands, he will build full brigades, so gather up your spare Tim-Mee and Lido Cavalry…!
