Detlef’s Heerbrand Figure Treasures, earlier this month I received a package from Detlef filled with figures. I would like to share them with you.

The first item from Detlef’s box was a set of Indians. We had seen these figures before regarding the thor like hammers. These figures have been imported around the world by various companies. This boxed set was imported to Poland by a company called Toys 4 All and distributed by Icom. The maker in China is a company called Mei Yi Toy factory.

The set has eight different foot Indians The poses are as follows:
1. Indian with a tomahawk in the right hand
2. With spear at waist
3. Standing with a bow in the right-hand holding in his left hand
More Indians
4. Indian looking right with a tomahawk
5. Standing firing rifle
6. Indian chief standing with staff
7. With a knife which looks like a sword and shield
Indian kneeling firing rifle
The final pose is kneeling firing the rifle. I found in my personal collection, I have the two Indians with tomahawk and will do a review on them.

Other Figures

Jean animals 1
Detlef sends six Jean animals in the box. Here we have kangaroo, chimpanzee, and a giraffe. Jean did a wide variety of figures.

The second set of three animals cow, seal, and bison.
Manurba Indians
Another item in the box was Manurba swivel Indians and cowboys. Here are three of the Indians.

The Manurba cowboys are in good action poses. I like the cowboy on the right end.
Saladin car
One of the nices pieces was this Saladin armored car. It is a friction toy.

The Saladin armored car came in the above box. There are no markings on who sold the item other than the soldier logo.
HK Swoppets
Finally, Detlef sent these swoppet civil war figures. Each bag has a mounted and a foot figure.

    The Indians in the top photo can be found at your local Lucky super market. I picked up afew sets.They come on a blister pack.

    The Indians are same all over post here with woman or Indian ‘braves with “boobs” ,”thor hammer” warrior style and sword/saber!. The figures in Indian are funny looking with super steroid muscles features and are mix hybrids base in SUPREME/Airfix poses with some new while cowboys are much better made base in other marks .The best thing about the sets when purchase in large playset are the accessories such well done Indian burial palisade .Still they are fun have .

    Nice find Detlef in all you got as usual in cases are better still…
    Saladin made in HK in 1/46 scale approx had been sold in many version by WELLO and others ,the friction is the nicer made .later a copy same scale with thicker cannon was sold not friction made soft plastic used with the swapped rare Airfix copies in window cases.I have two then and one soft
    Under MARX UK ownership a larger version was made .I have it in original box .Will do photo soon.

    For those interested in get Manurba around or from Europe.

    Manurba swivel are still easy get from one main dealer off Germany .This is same Italian seller i post before here.

    The swivel Manurba WESTERN were copied by DDR maker as well but they differ a bit and are cruder.

    JH animals as well but not as common here ….

    I brought some of those Mei Yi Toy Factory Indians some time ago and i really like them, Yes a bit unusual weapons and muscles i agree, But they make good Indians, And also are excellent for converting into Aztec or Barbarian figures also.
