I checked images of the Monkeys in a Barrel and found that was a dead end. I thought that they might be a cocktail garnish. Kent replied that they were 60mm. What do you think?

Andreas Dittmann’s Question

Mystery figure
Andreas found the above figure at one of his local flea markets. he thought it might be a female figure. He said the following: The maker of the soft-plastic 8cm (3.14 inches) scale figure is unknown to me, It looks like been made in China. There are no base markings or other signs of origin.
Backside of man
Andreas continues The figure does not look too female to me, but the hair is more women-like than for a man. Can you supply some more insight into this figure?

Fantasy Figures

Erwin found two new companies from Russia first is called Koki. This company is doing several fantasy figure sets. The first one is called Steampunk Goblins. The set has five 54mm goblins in 54mm for $90.00 plus postage. GMM is the second company and they are doing a set of figures called Swamp Trolls. Like the first set mentioned, they have five different trolls and are $90.00 plus postage.

Minor Update

Wild Republic astronauts
From Peter Evans’s fine report on the UK Trade Fairs, I can correct who made these figures. They are by the Wild Republic. The set has ten pieces. One final note on the junk box, I got a timpo base in the box, but no figures.

  1. James O'Connell says:

The long haired figure reminds me of Rambo.

  2. George A. Albany, III says:

Are you absolutely positive those monkeys did not come from a “Barrel of Monkeys” kind of game? They are jogging a distant nemory and it is a memory of some kind of game.

  3. Greg Liska says:

I’m sure they were not part of the classic ‘Barrel of Monkeys’ game. Those were soft plastic, all in the same pose and linked together with curved hands as the object of the game was to make the longest chain right out of the barrel.

    • George A. Albany, III says:

Yup, I remember that game, but these are just screaming in my mind that they are part of a game. Can’t for the life of me remember what game, but I keep thinking game. Maybe I’m crazy.

  4. AJ says:

I agree that the long haired military figure looks like John Rambo.
