February Flea Market Finds Warhansa

Rahway has noted to me that Warhansa has several new releases. Some of the items we have mentioned before notable the Special Forces and a wizard. New this time are slash and a set of English knights. Also, new, skeleton warriors are coming out from WarhansaCheck them out.

Time Machine Playset

Erwin Sell noticed a playset for the Time machine movie, one of Laurie’s favorite movies. There are two versions a full playset with the sphinx plus figures including the Morlocks, Eloi. and character figures of Weena and George. The playset is $349.99.

You can also get just the figures. The figures are two inches tall and are made of resin. The set contains 17 figures and is $109.99.

Flea Market Time

February Flea Market Finds
I went back to the indoor flea market that I did in December. I did not figure on finding anything, but I did find a junk box. As I have mentioned before I like to sort through a junk box to find the little treasures. Some of the items will end up in my collection, while others will be resale. Here we have three figures that go into the collection. The figure on left is king fu type figure. In the middle is a delivery person and on his right is a fireman.
February Flea Market Finds German
We have two soldiers that are likely variations of Airfix figures. Both figures have different helmets. When I first look at the Gerrman officer I liked that he had a helmet. Looking at the figure closer you could possibly use him as a British Colonial officer. what do you think?
Marx Barb wire Fence
The only item that I found in the lot for resale was Marx barb wire fence pieces. The pieces were in two colors silver and white. The white color was used in the farm playsets. Laurie remembered that someone was asking for the white barb wire fence in Hackensack.
wolves
In the lot were these two different wolves. Great for a fantasy scene.

We save the rest for the next post.

The “Kung fu ” figure were sold as ” Ninja” or Karate warriors made in HK and sold by JA-RU in late 70s /to 1980s as pencil topper and part series more poses. So far i have 6 different ,made in white, cream black and grey as far i seen and own. The poses are not bad and have it own charm detail x been what they are .About 54 mm scale or 2.25 inches approx .The figures have school karate kimono style and Japanese type weapons but not cover faces, mask or typical ninja clothing making then not quite ninjas I guess …
It should have a hole bellow of course .
I like the wolf poses …will like several like that.

I think the orange coloured animal is intended as a fox but I painted it as a grey wolf. The copy of the WW2 German officer looks like he has an American helmet. He could be used for imaginations or some South American nation.

The “Airfix” rifleman could be used in a pinch as a 1939 Pole or Slovak ‘Fast Division’

      It sounds like great idea.

I REALLY wish a company would do a set of 54MM 1939 Polish Army figures but I imagine a Russian company might feel sheepish about that LOL.There is a company in Poland that does sets in 1/72 that I wish they would upscale.

Maybe from Ukraine -Mars but i don’t know if they did it in HO .
So far Russian brand Strelets Models have two sets as far i know in HO and seen that some HO makers had gone for 1/32 I guess it may happen any time soon .

I think the Airfix-style army man comes from tub sets of soldiers and accessories that were sold in Target many years ago.

The Chinese version of the M-35 was a licensed copy. When I was collecting, it was one that I never got my hands on. The helmet on the rifleman appears that they took a bad copy of the Brit Para (copy) Airfix figures and placed it on his coconut. The worse those copies got, the more conical they became. It does look a lot like the Czechoslovak M-34 helmet, not so much like the Polish M-36 (I still own examples of both). I remember, just before I decided to collect toy soldiers again, I’d seen a bag of the cloned Airfix Brit Paras. I didn’t spend too much time looking at them, but when I saw the conical helmet, and the Bren gun (which is a licensed variant of the Zb-26) I thought they were supposed to be Czechoslovak soldiers (or Czech and/or Slovak after 1938). I came into a copy German Airfix officer that is cast in the standard ‘army green’ toy soldier color. He is fully 54mm and has a very good rendition of a proper German helmet on his head. I kept him and he’s in with my greenish colored Dulcop and Atlantic Germans to this day.
