The 2019 Year Review Figures Shows New Figures
Shows
Rough Year
It has been a rough year for many of our readers. Over very good friend Mark McDermott has been in out of the hospital this year. We have had other friends and readers with health issues. Hopefully, they will be better in this new year.
Regarding new production ,not recast or reissues.
No doubt the miniatures figurines mini statutes from PL and PP are awesome .Good luck on then
I see what Eddie White white said about last figures from Chintoy been a bit chunky in portray of Renascence early period European armies .It seems are or the clothing/ poses depicted made then look more like that .Still the halberd ,pikes ,pole arms and lances are far too too short,so are the two broadswords often taller than standard human in length .An error as these weapons were very primary of these armies and need be represented as ACTA and Even Barzso conquistadors did so well .
rest makers looks great .
I agree with shows in Europe growing and extending while here in US in reduction considerable in attention ,number dealers and collectors plus diversity .
Makers here with exception of LOD making figures in China had literally reduced over 70% with CTS producing one set every 1 to 3 years ,LOD doing well while Easter Europe makers most limited run makers )over producing among all no less 4 sets per month and EXF from Asia two to three sets per month least .
I also notice a considerable less amount of Chinese own cheap line at local stores or online compare to previews years .Less cheap finds overall .
In my opinion No doubt 3D and limited run mold figures are the forerunner of future in this hobby .
Long run steel mold production are a far cry as before now ..
my thoughts
best
Dave and I set up at about a dozen shows each year. Lafayette, Ind. show increases each year. Kalamazoo was steady as well. But even the shows where dealer numbers have dropped: Wheeling, OTSN, Columbus and Wadsworth, the buyers thru the doors were still up and even increased, and all were very busy and lots of selling/buying. Hopefully a few of these buyers will choose to rent a table to sell off their duplicate stuff. I’m going to try and return to Columbia, SC and St. Paul, MINN shows which we missed last year. There is a nice show in Lake Worth, FLA on JAN 26. Mike
Getting a spot sometimes is not easy. Bill Lango had a devil of a time trying to find a replacement for Fairleigh Dickinson’s location one time when it did not look they would be available. Fortunately, they came through.
If you know who the promoter is you get together with him to suggest some sites.

Real nice wrap-up, Paul. Thanks for doing this.
