The other day when I was trying to get the boys out for a walk, one of the neighborhood rabbits was on the front pavement. They were not at the door so they missed their neighbor. In our neighborhood, we have at least two rabbits, which we see when we are walking. the dogs want to chase it, but I keep a strong control on their leashes and tell them that bunny has rights to be in the neighborhood. Besides the rabbits, we have chipmunks and squirrels plus some cats. One morning, when I had the dogs out we had a fox in front of us. Talk about a deer in the head light moment from both sides. I was worried that the fox might attack as there had been reports of another fox attacking a child and having rabies. Fortunately the fox ran off and we continued on our walk.
We have tons of raccoons, we also see skunks, coyote, deer, beaver, muskrats,foxes and lots of red tail hawks. There are rumored to be eagles on the river, but I have not seen any.
We get hawks from time to time in area.
