November BMC Figures Update, we will start off with a BMC update. This includes status on their Kickstarter program for their women soldiers and the purchase of the Sell Toy German tank. Next, we share a link to Mike Predergast’s listing of Black Friday deals from various sources. Finally, I will talk about some figures I found recently at a farmer’s market.
November BMC Figures Update News
Rahway alerted us to the latest news from BMC Toys. Jeff Imel has six new items in the BMC Toys American Hero Collector Series including the San Juan Hill figures in new colors to represent Border War. The BMC Classic Army Men Collection has four new items. They are reissues of the Marx Palm trees and ferns and landing craft in different colors.
The Tim Mee Toys Realistic Reissues are getting the Galway Laser Team and Patton tanks in new colors.
Next, Jeff Imel announced the purchase of the Sell Toy Company WWII German Jaghtpanzer IV Tank Destroyer. Erwin Sell decided to sell his tank to Jeff as Jeff has contacts to give it more exposure and Erwin has other non-toy projects he is working on.
Finally, Jeff gives an update on his Army women Kickstarter program. The response has been fantastic and the campaign is 300% above its goal. Because of this success, Jeff is now offering 36 figures in 12 poses in each bag. Also, the figures will be available in OD green, tan, and pink. If the response goes higher, Jeff is considering doing more figures for series including a medical team and a dog handler and his dog. People who join the Kickstarter offering will get these figures before they go to the general public.

Which border war is referred to?
James, the border war BMC is talking about is the Mexico/ U.S. problem before WWI. it is a way for a maker to reuse his molds by doing the figures in different colors. They have done the palm trees in weird colors to be an alien landscape.
I heard through the grapevine that sometime in the future Jeff might, might, be doing an Alien Invasion type playset with his ” People at Play” figures and the trees in different colors. Just a rumor at this point, folks.
right now he has the palm trees and ferns in purple leaves and ferns with R&L aliens.
Would like to see Mr. Imel do a kickstarter to make better figure sets of WW2 G.I.’s and Germans to replace the ones in the D-Day set and to make some late war/winter G.I.’s and Germans to make a Battle of the Bulge playset like Mr. McMasters told me he was planning to make when I talked to him at one of the TEXAS shows.
There was talk about doing the Timmee Army Truck, I would like to see that redone. Also a 1/32 scale Patton tank to go along better with the Timmee “Vietnam” figures and TSSD, Mars, Plastic Platoon.
I having doubts in how much profitable the truck will be if Clive redone.
So far most vintage are sold off in Ebay a lot from $15 to 30 max each approx in good to great conditions.
I seen several every week listed sold off ebay.
Base in any vehicle recast and new been done and sold un exact same range price and the cost of all new steel mold will take several thousand
It should be taken in consideration.
My thoughts.
