Final Thoughts
These two sets are welcome additions to the hobby. The amount of Renaissance figures have been lacking. I know Jean has a few of its knights that can be used for this period. Also, Starlux did a few figures. I am sure there are others that I have missed.
The Italian Wars which these figures represented covered from the years 1494 to 1559. The wars saw many different countries involved at various times including the Ottoman Turks. The Italian wars saw many changes and innovations in the military. The armies went from pike and halberd to the addition of arquebuses. It will interesting if Chintoys will continue in this period or jump around as they did with their knights.
These look good. Chintoys figures are always a lot of fun. We still need to get their Conquistadors and Central American tribes but I think we have the rest of what they’ve produced. Their knights are most excellent.
I really like Chintoys figures. The Conquistadors will end up battling my pirates.
Very Nice and varied figures again from Chintoys, You never know what period figures they are going to do next. I look forward to seeing what they produce in the coming months. Would love to see Ancient Egyptians, Arabs, Mongols, Samurai, Chinese?
yes. I would love to see samurai’s but mostly crossbowmen, firing there crossbows
These are very early Renaissance period barely covered by German brands such as Dom and Koho Heirleneand few others only.
The conquistadors from Barszo, Reamsa, Amex and Chintoys are same era wars and can be used with then.
Great addition and choice poses
Battles such as Pavia, Lepanto, Saint Quintin, and others can now be recreated We need Turks only done by Elastolin and Cane copies.
