Speaking of figure news :I noticed on the Hannant’s website there are two new ‘future release’ sets listed from Chintoys in 1/32nd scale: Italian and Spanish sixteenth century infantry. I assume these are Renaissance era figures which would fit in with conquistadores and Elizabethan era pirates.

Other good releases for the 16th century would be the Earl of Essex’s English and The Great O’Neil’s Irish rebels. Who doesn’t like Errol Flynn and Alan Hale.
As well as Clansman of the 16th Century. Also a great set Chintoys could do would be Rob Roy era Scottish or 17th Century Musketeers swordsman. I can’t think of any plastic figures of these era’s that exist in high quality sculpts such as Conte, Basevich, Publius or Plastic Platoon can produce.

With exception of old HILCO poses wrong labelled as conquistador 5 poses recast in 90s and their Scottish XVI century foes never recast poses i do not think these had been cover enough at all .There few cereal made as well but nothing large.
The late XVII and mid XVIII centuries Scottish english wars period had not been cover .Only Charben grenadiers and Cherilea poses made in plastic 60/70 mm scale did covered it
None in level of today above brands you mentioned in detail .
In my personal opinion.The ATA(a call to arms) XVII century english civil wars many sets poses are well done and generic in my opinion but in the old traditional 54 mm scale .I personally amase a large amount of then to use as sae period many european wars.Some pirates and Barso can be use as well .

That from early XVI century dominated the battlefield as elit unit of many spaniard victories in europe had not been done .Yet Mars and Red box HO had covered then .Will be great see then from early unit with arquebus to late with moskets as different uniforms weapons and armour .

Film alatriste Sapinard movie with international actors show the last battle (battle rocroy)and first one where spanish tercio is defeated after a centuries of victories after a heroic last stand against overwhelming odd after the other tercios(italian and walong ) surrender without fight .
The film is base in a book-non historical but portray very well the era and tactics such the Breda siege victory .

I recommend this film as very well done and acted ,yet low budget used when compared with standard Hollywood films and considere not digital effect used..

These new figures by LOD look interesting. I really like the aliens with the ray-guns. I wish the humans were also retro 50’s and 60’s but being based on a movie what can you do? The humans will also make great Zombie hunters.
Good news that Hobby Bunker bought Paragon. Hopefully they can add to the line.

The Lod figures looks interesting.
They are a mix of 50s era Roswell Style aliens mix w modern .
I think the set will have a better buyers in new generation more than toy soldier per say collection tors world.

They seems to have a very close connection with misterius “English/british person” owner of Chintoy as well EB that is the true maker of the figures molds x Chintoy.
There two other main dealers website store in Europe ,one in Italy other in belgium that deal direct with firs new release as well.
Here in US Scott from CA off ebay ID -rebelalpha; has the best prices Chintoy line as well EB and Mars.Unfortunately he often run sold out as he sale very low prices and quick plus offer good shipping combined discount in USand possible deals bundle large lot off ebay if ask .
