New Japanese Ashigaru Warriors, I noticed a collector on Facebook stated he got some ancient Japanese warriors from a site called Rakuten. Checking out I found they ad the figures still available. I contact Erwin Sell, who has a large samurai collection. He had not seen them and went to get them.

Scale 1/35 plastic. Semi flexible soft plastic.
Require minor assembling parts with glue suggested but not required.
Ashigaru were from early period infantry soldiers seasonal hired x money, then in some wars become more as draft or standard regular levies, some become generals and samurais in later periods.

I found then awesome perfect to create large battles armies.
The price if search deep with some sellers direct from Japan or china/Asia you may find a good deal if buy large amount maybe as supply last. Capsule toys figure often are produced in the short-run period only. So the figures last long in the market in quantities. the figure will not Also -No all companies from Japan mail to Europe or US. Some of the poses can be converted as well. Assembling is not complicated but needs firm hands. The detail is super well done and very accurate historical. Scale and body size build is general overall same used in most plastic figures non-HO samurai/ashigaru,ninja of japanese history made in plastic till now, included Tamiya and Aoshima kits, Technolog, Furuta, TKT. and Bandai brand sets I import before.

He is the same sculptor did previews set of Samurai for company Takara Tommy. The XVI century samurai life court set plus set of Samurais Edo very late period base in Sanjurjo /Yohimbo film action moments depiction.
The scale of all these and other two sets are 51-52 mm APPROX. or 1/35.
It generally the same scale used by most capsule toymakers when doing human figures. He also did the Pink Army Ladies.
Recently this artist designs a new semi mini action figurine WW2 German set with movable arms in 3/6 poses that can be changed in many others. Made and mold cast under brand Kaiyodo. Soon to be posted here as well.
This artist that has worked for over 45 years now, also had made figures anime and others for companies such as Hasbro/marvel and others as well.
Really nice figures, Great sculpting detail and in Good poses although a pity there is only 5 poses, And i also like the scale at 50mm to 52mm will do me. I would love to get hold of some of these as long as not to expensive. Ive never seen them before so i hope they are not to hard to get hold of?

Takara Tommy Samurai and family older set are hard get now.Once in while they show in Bay international.You have keep trying .One Russia dealer just carry few set no long ago but i think sold out now.
