Atlantic space small scale 35/45mm series are base in comics galaxy and captain Harlroc adventures.
The space craft made x tall 4 alien/robot and astronauts 100 mm poses are large and nice but very hard to get and expensive.
There several model of then as well the vehicles made x smaller and large scale space series.
Atlantic made two nice vacum terrain space moon and mars pieces .They are quite large well done .
Atlantic space plane was the last made by company before close down.
Best ..

They also dis a space helmet and space suit with space pistol x kids as well a WW2/modern bersagliere uniform ,helmet and machine gun with pistols and grenades x children.
In space the large Alkadia the spaceship from captain harlock is the more expensive among Atlantic collectors .
In italy there several blogs groups of Atlantic toys as they cover from late 60s till 80s with two generation now in 40s/50s and the demand price made it top number one vintage toys not quite toy soldiers collectible among italians in plastic range along with Dulcop that cover non toy soldiers as well .
While specifically toy soldiers plastic collectors go more for older makers in Italy such Cromplasto,Co-ma,Nardi,ISAS,Rovello Porro,Torgano ,Fontani ,APS-TEXAS ,Cane and others
Thanks Erwin- very interesting stuff !!
Great to see the spurs put on the PP figures . The soldier on the Far left is a great pose ….. but the hat on the back is not a great look plus the hat looks like a Mexican sombrero. I doubt many soldiers of the time had a kneck cord on their hat to be honest and I certainly have never read that as being the case. If it stays I would have to convert it. Any news whether PP will do a personality pack with the Bighorn range ?
I think some liberties can be taken with uniform and headgear as regulations were relaxed while in the field – as opposed to in garrison. I remember in Evan Connell’s “Son of the Morning Star” for instance where the troops often preferred to be on “patrol” in the summer as they could shed their heavier outer jackets. His description of the cavalrymen wearing white, gray, blue and even red shirts during the battle stuck with me.
At the same time (I may have mentioned this before, if so apologies) – sutlers at the Powder River sold straw hats to the troopers, who were paid there; many bought the hats as they were lighter and cooler in the heat. And, of course, troops on patrol often took liberties with their headgear as the fellow with his brim up in a bi-corne fashion – he is based on an actual member of the unit (whose name escapes me now) who wore his hat like that. I can understand if someone wants to modify, but while I wouldn’t want an entire formation of the guys outfitted like that – a couple of these would add life to my scenes.
Great information Wayne.
Thank you.
