Rahway’s Finds
As I mention earlier Rahway has found out some more new exciting items for the collectors. First, CTS has copies of the Italeri Napoleonic. These figures are done in China and first offered by Toy Soldier Company. The first set is the French Napoleonic Infantry. The set contains 16 figures in 8 poses. The second set is the French Napoleonic cavalry. the set has four mounted cavalry figures. The third set is the British Light Cavalry. The set has four different mounted figures. The fourth and final set is the British Light Infantry. The set has 16 poses in 8 poses. Each set is $12.95 plus postage.
Next, Rahway has some information on Warhansa. The Joan of Arc and French knights which we just preview from Warhansa on June 29th are out.
Finally, Expeditionary force has released their Persian cavalry, which we talked about in June 4 of this year.
We have no prices yet on the Plastic Platoon figures should be around previous prices. On the Warhansa if you click on the links you will see the prices.
The paratroopers and partisan even super well done poses are not accurate in some detail
The few german paras attacked by partisan on the first days of Crete invasion were those drop and not armed as drop far from canister.
German paras drop with out any weapon or ammo .except x pistol and knife.
This was well informed by British who organize several small militia groups and use this opportunity to shoot ,kill or capture most before got hand in weapons.
The figure paratrooper in ground have full sets of ammo MP40 in his gear meaning he had been in ground and able get armed.
Partisan did not attack those armed as they knew will be overcome easy .They retreat to mountain once the paratroopers armed and establish combat teams, platoon else .
Most militia were poorly armed even w old muskets and hunting rifles that will not stand any chance against well trained elite armed paras.
Most were mere civilian family spontaneous action and few were organized units that act around british army ..
Few manage keep a longer fight in mountain once better armed by british agents till most eliminated or mix w population.
The killing and torture of some unarmed paras was the main reason for savage retaliation taken weeks after the capture of island by Germans as ravage x it.
Several books w witnesses account of both sides and British veterans mention it very often.
Regardless the poses and scene are great but same time have poor use x else as too unique but thinking as these are not quite you soldiers figurines but rather statues made in plastic I think that help to understand the owner desition and perception of making then…
My thoughts
how about some prices???
