Conte Collectibles Roman Figure Update Richard Conte has released more photos of his forthcoming plastic Romans. From the photos, we can get a better idea of what this new series will be.

Conte Collectibles Roman Figure Update
Conte Collectibles has shown on Facebook various poses of their new Roman figures. One of the upcoming poses is a Roman soldier stabbing with shield back.
Conte Romans
One of the things that Richard Conte is doing with his figures is offering different heads and arms. Here we have the previous figure with a different head and left arm. The new head now missing helmet and left arm now has a sword instead of a shield. Can you imagine the scene you could create with him?
Here is another figure that Conte Collectibles is planning to do. Richard is a stickler for accurate details. He is debating to raised the sleeves an aquilifer

As you can see the detail on the aquilifer. The Roman eagle standard is beautiful

Roman wounded
Another great pose, here we have a Roman shot with an arrow in his left leg. It looks like the Roman soldier is getting ready to pull the arrow out. His right arm is holding a sword.

Limited Pose

Conte Collectibles Romans Update

Richard Conte is planning limited figures. He calls this type of pose hand to handsets. Here is what he said about these figures.
There are a number of ‘hand to hand’ sets we are working on (like this one) but these will not be in the first wave of figures. If the range does well, we will most likely produce some of these in hand to handsets in plastic; otherwise might consider resin or single color metal in limited runs.

Final Thoughts

Richard Conte has great plans for series. At the moment, we have seen only the tip of what he has planned. I can wait to see the first offers from this series.

Those look nicely done. While not my era of collecting, those do give so hope for some future WW2 figure sets. (Hopefully, some late war/winter G.I.’s and Germans, some late war U.S. and German Paratroopers, also new British Paras with weapons teams, and of course, Pacific War Marines and Japanese.)

These are excellent as have been all of the sets from Conte. My brother and I will support him in any production in plastic he does. The Romans and Barbarians will probably go pretty well with what TSSD produced. Masterful job as usual. I honestly feel Richard Conte does not get the appreciation he deserves. He has done much for the hobby.

I admire and appreciate CONTE for their influx and push in this very limited hobby with full heart .Against some critics and some detractors that had done nothing but talk back curtain .Richard as same few other makers help keep the hobby up in a time era was falling down with few recast of so many time boring Marx else recast all over place that still abundant just in different colors.
While Conte was first introduce in new figures a true historical accurate toy plastic figure more than a simple former toy soldiers .Other such CTS ad Barzso did help impulse it as well in 90s with AIP( the more diverse and numerous maker sets )till EXF come to scene in 2013 .
Yet none as CONTE had brought top anatomical and historical correct figures with only exception in my like and personal opinion of PP and Publius that are of course of limited budget most collector .
CONTE while selling a bit more expensive offer the multipose arms poses and great plastic soft material for first time given collectors a new window of opportunity .Today figures and toy are not made in cooking home oven .they are extremely expensive to be done and every year more .
As usual and as most had done as this hobby because is full of hungry in wanting new stuff customer/collectors but not enough deep pockets to buy many .Conte stop producing x a time while most other makers stop producing as well and as off now most makers from US and UK firms are out of the game complete with few exception and doing sporadic .
If Conte ever come gain will be a good great welcome ,if not able I still will x ever appreciate his huge efforts in the golden renew hoby era 90s to mid 2000s range and ALL he did for us and left x future.
Last but not least if look personal comments post here or/and in other blogs of owner of EXF (Scott) and PP -Mikhail .It was CONTE figures the one serve as main inspiration of their introduction in hobby according to their own words.
      It was not others ….
      My thoughts
