https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russo-Turkish_War_(1787%E2%80%931792)
It was a attempt by the Ottoman Empire to regain lands lost to the Russian Empire in the course of the previous Russo-Turkish War (1768–1774). It took place concomitantly with the Austro-Turkish War (1788–1791).
Engineering Bassevitch next two poses are an officer pointing with a club and A drummer beating on the drum. Notice the detail.
The set has seven action poses. Two of the action poses are with a sword. Figure on left is with the sword back and the ax in front in the left hand. The other pose is with the sword in front Left hand is upholding a pistol firing into the air.
There five poses in the set with rifle. First figure is standing load rifle. Second figure is standing firing rifle. Third figure is standing with rifle across waist. Fourth figure is kneeling firing rifle. Final figure looks to be priming his rifle.

Russian soldiers set for this war had not been made yet by EB.The set have many uses where the Turkish army fought against in the period of late XVII till early XIX .
Nice figures wonder if they go good with Elastolin Turks ?
No. Elastolin too big for our scale 🙂
Nice detail as usual. Did the Russian Army opposing them have European looking uniforms? If so the LOD, Barzso, Accurate Revolutionary War figures can oppose them.
So the dates on the box of the figures are incorrect?
Yes the best bet are AIP generic but mitre hat such marx,CTS are required as well as Russian use it is several units in such war as well .By then the russian army had developed in very modern since Peter Great renovation and at same standard as those of Europe powers .
The link of wikipedia post is erroneous to a much farther war of 1877/1878 that EB did two set as well.
The figures are for a century war before(1787-1792)over crimea
