Chintoys Mayans Inca Warriors Thoughts

Once again we have an amazing release from Chintoys. As we have stated before the figures are done by Engineer Bassevitch for some mysterious English investor. Since the first sets came out in 2016 we have some amazing sets. We thought they would stay with Napoleonics. Then Chintoys did a series of American Civil War personalities. Finally, we have this series of conquistadors and various opponents including Aztecs. The only question is what will they do next? More Indian warriors or something else we will just have to wait.

Reamsa no Jecsan is the one did Aztecs not incas nice 12 poses set with 12 poses conquistadors included Cortez
Pech Hermanos did a rare set of 8 poses and mold was damage very early. The PH set or figures are one the rarest among Spaniard collectors.
These sets from Chintoy are very welcome as they complete the main pre columbian more larger civilization culture representation x 1/32 plastic collectors so much wanted x decades only cover by Spain and HO .
Few vintage brand did one or two historical figures as well premiums have few too but nothing important
As child i use the marx skin poses with out gun as aztecs else .Some of then can pass easy as light warriors from central and south america too .
    Best

Clarite from france made a set call” Incas “??but because clothing and very tropical looks they are definitely not Incas but rather caribbeans tribes or amazon area as well. They did nice womens and camp poses as well warriors but some of then appear as regular native american indian too.Neither easy to find complete as made of transitional still fragile french plastic used by most factories from France.

Don’t forget Barzso also made Aztecs, another two more great sets of figures from Chintoys. Look forward to seeing what else they come out with in the future.

  4. Darren Hatley says:

Very Nice figures, As ive said before its always nice to see something different in 1/32 scale. I will definately get some of these. I cant wait to see what Chintoys come out with next but if they want to do sets 2 of Maya and Inca figures i wont be complaining.

  5. Darren Hatley says:

Or indeed a second set of Aztecs would also be greatly received i think.

  6. Don Perkins says:

I wish the English mystery collector who keeps commissioning all these great Chintoy sets would identify himself so we could publicly praise him and thank him for these great figures he keeps coming out with.

All the Chintoy Napoleonic General Staff sets were good, as well as the American Civil War General Staffs. I especially appreciated the mounted Civil War General sets. I never dreamed I would get mounted figures of Nathan Bedford Forrest, Jeb Stuart, and Stonewall Jackson in soft plastic. The Chintoy horses they came with were just fine, but even better was the fact that the Chintoy Civil War generals also fit perfectly on the superior TSSD Civil War galloping cavalry horses.

And now, with this run of six Conquistador/Aztec-type sets, Chintoys has done what LOD and Expeditionary Force did: make outstanding, affordable, well-sculpted figures in a high quality soft plastic, to cover brand-new historical eras which had either never been covered before, or which had been insufficiently covered, or which were just not adequately accessible these days.

Whoever the mystery English collector is, I think many of us truly appreciate his efforts.

And like Darren Hatley, I can hardly wait to see what the next Chintoy sets are going to be.

  7. Wayne Wood says:

I regret passing on the Barzso Aztec set, but it’s never been one of my eras of collecting even though the era fascinates me historically. I did buy the Revell sets in 1/72 scale, but that was back when I could buy about everything that came out.

I will join the throng in applauding Chintoys’ output even though I am passing on these beauties (I believe I’ve mentioned I have bought everything else he has produced – two each of his Napoleonic command sets – one to use as Mexicans). But I will thank him for his contribution to the hobby as I eagerly await the next era in hopes I can add to my collection. Thanks.

The Chintoy look like unpainted plastic, correct?
