Stad’s Western Figure Collection Indians
When we were children we want Indian figures which were action poses like these Timpo Indians. When we got non-violent poses like Marx 60mm Indian dancer we were at a loss on how to use him.
As I got older I got more interesting in the non-violent poses. They showed another aspect of Indian life. Here we have Marolin Indian dancer. Very likely it is a copy of Elastolin pose.
Here we have an Indian chief standing with a staff. It is nice noble pose, I believe it is a Spanish figure.
Here we have two Indians made in France. The Indian on the left is walking with two fish. The figure is an attacking pose. I like has a knife in his left and tomahawk in this right hand. He was made by Jim.
Stad’s Western Figure Collection Cowboys
One of the important items for a cowboy was a lasso. He would use to herd cattle and horses. Britains in their Herald line did a cowboy with a lasso. The pose is very dynamic. It like so many Britains were copied. Here we have an example of a Hong Kong copy of
Comansi made a number of western figures. On one end the figure is not very detail, but I like the
Timpo swoppet style cowboys, you either love them or hate them. While the later series are nicer the first series have some charm too. I like the cowboy in black both in color of his clothes and the pose. The cowboy on right I am less excited about. I feel the pose does not work for me. What do you think?
Yellow figure Indian brave 65 mm w skull pole is by Comansi 3er series revised pose late80s production under Nobelina series pack or tubes packing.
The alike early pose was rubber made in 55 mm with mirror effect pose inverse in arms and minor differences in feathers .
