The first figure we are looking at is German officer. He is holding a Schmeiser in left hand. With his right hand he is waving hid men forward.

Plastic Platoon third pose is German paratrooper running with a Schmeiser under left arm. He is fully loaded down with equipment.

Fourth pose is German paratrooper with his rifle at ready. I am curious to hear from our historical experts more about the vests two of the German paratroopers are wearing. I did a search and did not find any information.

Plastic Platoon Crete Germans Set Two Final Thoughts

Once again I am amazed by the quality of Plastic Platoons poses. also the imagination of the poses. We are not getting the same old poses we have before. I am curious about the figure holding the bullets in his mouth if that is that based on a photo. some people will complain about the bases with the weapons on the ground and rocks. Once the collector has the problem as these are limited run sets of 300 sets. Do you pay the price? they will have to decide.

  1. Hi Paul. The figure with the bullets in his mouth was based on a photo. Mikhaul sent me some pictures this morning too. I also have the photo of the soldier with the bullets on my site. I did a review of the first set with a preview of the second set with some more pictures of Warhansa Russian Infantry & Mars Germans in winter dress.

I will get most or all of the WWII sets eventually. I skipped on the Vietnam sets because I don’t collect that them even through they are really nice.

    Take Care, Mike

They are Kapok Life Preservers, these figures probably represent the Paras that were flown into Crete after the German capture of Maleme Airfield.

Will Plastic Platoon be making Montagnard people to go with their Vietnam sets as know one else seems to have done them as they helped the Americans in the war.

      Good idea.
That will be an interesting good set .Yes they help and provide very good info, supply and service ,often dying and fighting hand to hand with rangers and green beret where they serve with distinction in many special operation that with out their support would not have been accomplished. They were discriminated by communist since beginning(before war) and almost eradicated after they took over .Brave indigenous people .If done the size should be taken in consideration same way Airfix did corect with gurkhas soldier set .
