Red Box Knights

Red Box Knights in my last post Flea Market and Junk Box Part Two, I showed a copy of an Starlux knight. Erwin Sell has been kind to get out his set to show all the poses. I am sure they were sold other ways as well.

Erwin Sell has send us photos of the Redbox knights that were copies of the Starlux knights. Here we have the figures in a container
Here we have seven different of the Starlux knight copies that Redbox used. The figures were done it a silver and gold.
Erwin has done two comparisons of the Starlux knights. The first is knight running with sword and shield.
The second pose comparison is the kneeling firing low bow

I bought a bunch of these at KB and I think in bags at Deals and maybe some other dollar stores in the 90s. They match up well with the knights (originally Toy Major?) that came in the ToysRUs buckets and later the Toysmith knights. At the time, the big advantage over the ToysRUs knights was that you got a greater range of medieval figures, including an archer, a crossbowman, and even a peasant.

I brought a bag of these Red Box Knights back in the late 90s in a toy shop whilst i was on holiday, A bit on the small side but nice figures all the same.
