Marx 54mm Gray Reissue French No Longer Available from Stad’s. After 30 years I am finally out of these figures. I bought over 25,000 figures at Mexico Toy Fairin the80’s. Over the years I have sold them various ways. They have been sold around the world . The last batch going to Peru.

Don Ducote got them run in a blue, which CTS had.
I figured that at least 98% of Marx gray French reissues came from me. What a fun ride.
Congrats and took long but that how this hobby market it ,i bough many sets from you as well, the color was far acceptable than gloss dark green recast from before ,the light horizon blue was great too .French used both Ii had done awesome conversion of then mixing part with OWN figures to create new french poses as well new chinese nationalist poses as pants and puttes were allie and chinese used the german ,british and french helmet as well.
Best
Congratulations on selling off the last batch after ordering such a huge quantity.
I have the reissues in horizon blue, which was my preferred color due to the contrast the color blue provided with the Marx WWII Germans. But while perusing your website I often noticed the group of 50 figures at such a reasonable price. But now they’re gone, and the price at shows and on the internet will probably start ticking up.
That is what has happened to many reissues which once were flooding the toy soldier hobby marketplace, but have now become much more difficult to find.
May I add my congratulations to your achievement. I’ve always been a big fan of Marx’s French, British, and Soviet figures as far as styling and sculpting; I just wish they’d done some more poses and more “practical” poses too. As it is, they make great supplements to other companies’ figures in the “old” 1/32 range. I just wish Airfix would have made some French in 1/32 scale.
I agree I wish there were more poses.
Congratulations Paul,
I myself have quite a few Marx French recasts in just about every color that I have seen them produced in which means most of the 100 plus French I have in grey were from you originally. I also have them in horizon blue/light blue, dark green, tan, and more recently a c0lor that is sort of a khaki or light brown.
The dark green was the first color I saw in Mexico. The light blue as I said was done by Don Ducote. I have not seen the other two colors. The company is out of business as I would love to get the Ranch Kids they and sell for reasonable price.
