Expeditionary Force 60mm Celtic Barbarians will be releasing three differents to cap the year. Two are chariots, while the third is a command set. Once again our Friend Peter Bergner has given us the advnace scoop on these sets.

60 CTB 03-A War Chariot (Ancient Briton)
The set contains 1 chariot model plus 2 horse models, and 3 model soldiers with head and arms options for various action poses. Weapons are also provided for the models.
The British chariot has M-sided panels which although sometimes illustrated as having only a frame, but for purpose of war, we felt that full panel offering some protection is more appropriate. The chariot driver is a trained warrior and thus wears the neck torque of a warrior. The charioteer wears the Waterloo helmet and carries the Battersea shield. The foot warrior is provided as a bonus model and serves to provide alternate heads, arms and shield for the charioteer to be swapped.

The rear views of the chariot. The floor board and side panels are fully sculpted. The models’ heads and arms are all inter-changeable with the models from the other sets in the range. The above standard bearer’s head, right-arm, shield and boar standard come from 60 CTB 06 set.
60 CTB 03-G War Chariot (Galatian)
The set also contains 1 chariot model plus 2 horse models, and 3 model soldiers with head and arms options for various action poses. Weapons are also provided for the models. This set is similar to 60 CTB 03-A above except for variation in the chariot details and the charioteer.
The Galatian chariot has semi-circular sided panels. The charioteer wears the studded bronze helmet and corselet. There are some suggestions that the Galatians are more old-fashioned than the western Celts and thus the bronze armour is selected. As the Galatians operate around the Mediterranean, short sleeves tunics are selected for these models.Full side views for the chariot. The charioteer’s head, right arm, shield and cloak, as well as the white horses, come from the 60 CTB 06 set.60 CTB 06 Celtic Barbarian Command The set contains 8 model soldiers plus 2 horse models; comprising of 2 mounted warriors in armour, 2 foot warriors in armour, 2 horn-blowers and 2 standard bearers. The Celtic horns are in the shape of animal heads. They are blown for signalling as well as morale purposes. The horn-blowers are normal warriors and probably hand the horns over to their servants and get themselves into the fights. The most common totem symbols of the Celts are the Cockerel and the Boar. Severed heads are also popular emblems of prowess. These are the last releases for the year from Expeditionary Force
