Odds Ends October 2018 Part Three Mark MacNamara, Airfix Mark
As my old friend Mark MacNamara mentioned in a comment he has done a new figure.
Inspired by the Marx Foreign Legion figures, Mark did a Captain Gallant saluting.
Here is a closeup of the Captain Gallant. The figure will work with your existing Marx Foreign Legion. Mark has it up for sale on Ebay.

Odds Ends October 2018 Part Three Mark MacNamara, Airfix Airfix Site
If I have any questions on Airx 1/32 scale I go this site. Dedicated to the Airfix. Norman Pelz shows every box of the Airfix figures that done under Airfix,Humbrol and Hornby. When you click on box it will show the different poses and how many were in the box. One final note when you enter the site some strange music or sound comes on for a moment.
Odds Ends October 2018 Part Three Mark MacNamara, Airfix Odds and Ends
We have herea fireman made in China. I get firemen for my collection as my late uncle was a fireman. He drove the hook and ladder for his town. The two colors of the fireman’s uniform is odd as usually their uniform is on color.
Farm figures have been part of many toy companies inventory. Here we have a Starlux farmer sitting to milk a cow.
Our final figure is a figure from Kinder Asterix and the Vikings set. I just like pose of Viking sitting on his butt and rubbing his head. It was a different pose for a Viking.
thanks for the Airfix site link. i like their figures, and thought i had all of them. i never even new there was an original first series British paratrooper set, and have never seen them.
happy Thanksgiving to all.
I don’t know if the first set was sold much in the states. My first experience for me with airfix was the British commandos and WWII Germans.
The original British paras are either upsized from or downsized to the 1/72 paras.
These pop up on Ebay fairly often, particularly from sellers in the UK.
One caveat – as they are old they will often become brittle, and will easily break.
I’m interested in purchasing these 2 different Cane pirate poses if anyone has some they want to sell.
The two pirates poses are not easy at all to find ,so far i got mine from Italy and least 20 years see very few off ebay .Often could be mix with foreign sales lots .
