Space Figures Part Two Flea Market Finds first Alain Lapointe has an update for us. He is the one who Peter Bergner bought the space figures from. Second Detlef heerbrand shares some funny astronaut figures. Finally I will talk about some flea market finds.
Space Figures Part Two Flea Market Finds Alain’s Update
As mention earlier Alain sent me photos with additional information on the space figure we showed yesterday. Here is the complete set of Comansi astronuats. As you can see they did 16 different figures. They are orignally did them painted but later issued them unpainted. The neatest one of the set is female in last row on the bottom right.
Here is the Marx Exploration Set which contain Johnny Apollo and Jane Apollo. Also you have the two different vehicles.
The Selenites by Co Ma on the card.
Lido Space figure with the robot. The figure on top row on the left is Captain Video.
Finally we go back to Comansi. Alain sent me a photo of the eight Aliens they did. As mention before these are the later unpainted figures.
Space Figures Part Two Flea Market Finds Detlef’s Quest
The above figures are something that Detlef has been looking for years. they are funny astronauts as a parachutist. He had them in the 70’s. You could buy them back then for 10 pfennigs( about $.03 in today’s money.) they are about 50mm and made of rubber. Detlef has no idea how many are in the series.
Detelf posted them up on Facebook and Mark Taverna replied that they are know as Poopatroopers” by Imperial. You can see picture here of the other poses.
Space Figures Part Two Flea Market Finds Flea Market
Finally we look at two of my flea market finds. I did flea market and found a party with some figures. Besides the usual Marx and MPC figures I came up with these two figures. The first is Timpo Foreign Legion standing firing. Where were the rest of the figures from this series. The figure to the right is unknown t ome doyou know it?
The other find was Marx 25mm Confederate reissue figures. I was in an inside stand and had just found a nice Maxine Bank for Laurie. I asked if they had any soldiers and these showed up.
Thanks for posting my pics Paul, so honored.Complete set of Comansi is made of figures from various releases, I just collected any pose independently from which date was made.
I most admit those funny spacefigures are hilarious.
Wonder of more poses.
The world of plastic figures are infinite in productions.
Interesting part is most were done from 1955 till ealy 80s.
Best.
I love them ! I think they might have been made / copied in a larger size in Hong Kong !
WOW!!,those full set by Mark are amazing, never seen those, thank you Mark for update it .best
Ahoy there, the figure with the jack hammer is from a rail road set. I believe there is at least 4 differant figures. I picked up a set at my local train shop some years ago. I dont know who made them. The may still be around.
