Flea Market Part Two Update Figure Time July 2018 Flea Market
We have a local flea market I only do occasionally. I only do it when I take Laurie to work. Coming back it is not out of my way. Today Saturday Laurie had to work and I got gas and stopped at the market. The market is made up of mostly new items. I did my walk and found a dealer with some paper backs for $.50 each. Next I stopped at a small building which I got some Imaginext the previous week for a dollar. There I found a small bag of figures. One of them was nice copy of the Airfix WWII German kneeling firing with a longer rifle. I flipped bag over and spotted a Timpo German standing firing rifle no base. I bought that for a dollar. It was the first Timpo I have found at a flea market in years. It also had a Marx Japanese grenade thrower.
Another stand I found the Imaginext Castle Wizard Tower. It was out of the box but complete. I have not decided if I will keep it or sell. So I will have to stop again.

As I mention in reply to Mark T’s comment the figure on the left is Odin from Marvel’s Thor.
One of the other figures from Walmart set is in the group below. It is the laying firing sniper. He had been attached to the top of the lid. I remembered looking at the set at Walmart and passing on it. The sniper will work well with modern troops as you can see by the photo. I have now two of this pose in the collection.

One of the reason I like the Plastic Warrior Show is the wide variety of figures you can find from around the world. Here is one of the semi flat pirates from Manurba.Do you recognize who made this steer?
It is rare that I have both the original figure and conversion. I was going through one of the drawers when I found both figures. You can see how Peter Evans changed the figure.
Is that sniper 54mm or more 51mm? I’ve seen some nicely done guys in some of these sets I wouldn’t mind having but they’re too often way too small for me – I can’t see going to another scale at this stage; I’m doing good to keep up with the two I’m in to.
The sniper pose run about 53mm from feet till head.the pose may pass as vietnam era and after or course. The pose included repeated w original packing set and in redone pack one is attached outside case w ziptide.
It match perfect w Airfix, ESCI modern soldiers in scale plus nice done chinese Fishel brand modern set and BLUE BOX 2014 modern 10 poses set .
Yet it do not blend well w rest of marines of same set made for in my opinion.
The timpo at flea market is not common at all here .
Best
Never saw any soldiers at walmart up to a day ago,,only legos and space crap
What figures did you see?
