The latest show had Jordan Hembrough in Boston going through three collections. The background information he gave was correct, the prices that was a different case. Once again the prices that he qouted are open to question. He said that the Mego Daisy Dukes from Dukes of Hazard was worth $100.00. Checking Ebay I found one with a Buy It Now of $74.99. Another one is at $53.00. Talking to another dealer he shook his head at the price that Jordon paid for a Toss Across. Jordan paid $40.00 figuring that he would sell it for $75.00. This other dealer told me he was lucky to get $10.00 for one. Going to Ebay, I could not find one over $50.00. These prices that Jordon give leave false impression on the public and concern me greatly.
Other problem I have been having with his show Toy Hunter is that he is only going to various people’s home and buying. A true toy hunter is out at the flea markets and toy shows looking for items. These people are up early in the day competing with other hunters hoping to score those treasure that make it worthwhile. I would like to see Jordan doing a flea market or show.
On interesting thing was Jordan admitted that he did not know Hot Wheels and brokered a deal for Catherine.
All you guys have a happy turkey day, the one time a year the Marx turkey guy is useful, let him have his moment in the sun!!!!
