Okay, I didn’t bring much not the show. That’s not why I went. I went to have a good time and I did.
DeAnna Versteeg in from of TSSD’s tables
The attendance on Saturday was great, crowded most of the day. Despite the lack of plastic guys at the show, some notable absences of the regulars that attend the Texas show, there was still enough plastic to be had. No real quality vintage playsets, but there were enough vintage plastic to keep me interested. Sunday hardly anyone showed up. I had a great time and stayed out of trouble.

The young ladies who manned the admission table all weekend.
Eric Rubin a good guy that Ed hangs around at the show.
Gary Beadel, one of the Texas guys that is one of my Ernie’s partners, Gary didn’t have a table this year, but we helped him out by displaying some of his foam buildings.

You can see more photos of the show over on Treefrog’s forum. Ed reports you can see the Paragon Sioux Indians on their site. We thank Ed for sharing these photos
Who made the V.C. figures and what scale are they?
Thanks
Benjamin
The Vietnam figures are TSSD brand and you can see them in their main website page painted if you scroll down here along with MARS brand from Russia several sets made as well and sold by then and many dealers around .

Are you sure, Erwin? To me, the Viet Cong figures look like conversions of AIP figures.

Thanks Erwin.
Nice show photos.
I especially liked the attack on the Vietnamese village from the river.
Ed, two questions: 1) Who were the regular dealers who didn’t come this year, and 2) Did Nick & Deanna say whether they intended to try to make Chicago this year?
Great nice pictures ,well done. Glad have fun!!

Did plain indian new announced set for this show was there x sale!!??
The Viet Nam sets seemed to include TSSD, Mars and a number of conversions.
The missing guys were Alan Ford, Gordon Gheen, Ed Gannon and Gary Beadel , Gary showed up but did not have a table. We did get a surprise though , Willie Forrster made a return from a stroke to do his first show in a long time. Stengel Jr did not attend. All of the ones I listed are usual Texas show atendees who did not appear. Hobby Bunker and as you probably guess TSSD was there.
The Plain Indians were for sale and I did buy a set, you get two mounted poses and four foot poses. The one foot pose can be configures into at least four different figures by changing the hands and it comes with four extra hands. You get two of each pose ina set with four TSSD Indian ponies.
Nick and DeAnna did not committ one way or the other to OTSN.
I recommend visiting the Paragon Scenics site to see the Plains Indians.
Thanks I like the indians, will get then, interesting in multiple pose options, good idea and deal I think.

Thanks for the report and pictures. I didn’t get to go this year but are making plans to go next year. I hope that Gary plans on having a table next year as I always love to see what he has. I hope Ed Gannon will make it too next year, I love digging through all his boxes to see what I can find. Do you know if they will be there next year? I hope the plastics part of the show isn’t dying out.

Gary says he plans on having a table next year. don’t know about Ed Gannon as no one knows why he didn’t attend this year. There was plenty of plastic there. Gordon didn’t show up because of back surgery.
That is good to hear that Gary will have a table next year. Hopefully Ed will be back as well. Me and my wife are already making plans to be there next year.

The Vietnam scenes were done by Scott Schleh. He has done conversions from all periods for me over the years. Most recently Vietnam. After the show he intends to make Vietnam bunkers, looking forward to those.
