Plastic Warrior Show 2018 Part Two Operation Surprise Show Day We got up early on Saturday for the show. At our hotel we had included with our room an English breakfast. You had a nice wide selection of food including two types of eggs, sausages and bacon. You could do toast or they had various pastries. The buffet also included cold cuts and cheeses. As I mention the buffet was included in our package, otherwise you would have paid 14.40 pounds ($20.45)
After breakfast we headed to the tube station. We had picked Earls Court as it had elevators. Laurie’s walking is not good and London transportation system not handicap accessible everywhere. It is only at a few stops.
Richmond also had a elevator and we then took a cab to the show.

We walked in the door and there was Peter Evans, Paul Morehead and Barrie Blood. I took out gifts from our third member on the trip suitcase. (I always take an empty suitcase to the Plastic Warrior show as I know I will fill it.) We next looked for our German friends to give them their presents. In the picture above you have Markus Lecksheid on the left and Peter Bergner on the right.
Once the gift giving was done Laurie and I started looking. The show is not big but it is loaded with plastic. You have to go through each table and still come back to check again.
Plastic Warrior Show 2018 Part Two Operation Surprise Show Day Michael Smith
Before we started I spotted a dear friend Michael Smith. I bellowed “Michael !” It is an old joke between us. Michael had come over for our wedding and drove a Rolls Royce we had lent for the wedding. He went to the West Coast and planned to meet us in Chicago for OTSN. I flew ahead as Laurie had to work. As I was going on the moving sidewalk, I spotted Michael walking and call out. Since then I do it the first timeI see him.
We had not expected to see him as he lives now in the Mauritius. He had returned for some familybusiness and stopped at the show.

The show has a wide range of plastic figures. You will even see Marx figures. One dealer had a Marx Big Top Circus Playset that he got from Swansea. Swansea was where the Marx factory was.
