Brian Johnson found these missle trucks in a store in Canada called Dollarama. Each was only two dollars  Canadian($2.57 U.S.). They are made by a company called Montoy. Bryan is planning on painting the white wall tires.

Here are the four trucks outside of the packaging.  I do not know if they fire their missles or not.  Brian put a Timmee Russian with them for comparsion.

When I spotted this item at the MFCA, I wondered if it was the Marx version.  As you know these are copies of the Monogram model kit soldiers.  Marx sold several different set like the other being cowboy and Indians.

My surprise was it was not from Marx but Mego Corporation.  Not sure if this is the same Mego who did the super hero dolls. I have send photos to Mego Museum to see if they can give an answer.  I will keep you updated.

Here are the knights I got with the Papo battering ram.  I asked Erwin Sell if he recognized them.  He did right away he stated they were Byzantin knights. We had done an article  four years ago!

Also in the bag were two cannons

The first one is missing its back wheels.

And this one I have no idea who made either.

The knights are infact English Knights of the Crecy/poiters period . They paint up well as the arms of England 1/4 fith France [ancient]-The mounted figures can be worked with and do fit well with Heral[Hong Kong} and other knights of the period!-BUT -Throw away both foot and mounted Archers as they are in Full armour!-This would never have happened!
    Cheers,
Daithi- Arms and the Man and The Grumpy Wargamer.

The knights come first in 2013/14 direct from HK,there two version s,all scale waste less detail mold s in 6 poses and a bit taller(sold painted and unpainted with 4 different castle in 10 poses.
I post then here before over two years ago ,here full set ,description and measure links from my post.

      In my opinion
Knight have roman late period helmet mix with east european and asian genovese style helmet very alike XV period late period Byzantine empire, same goes for roma style under skirt clothing depicted ,it could be use as Russian and others as well in my opinion ,they are very far away from typical english 100 years war medieval knights and of course Men at arms (the most of English armies) and English longbow men who barely used armor else.
Of course you can use as werever if like …
      My thoughts.

  3. Daniel Murphy says:

Whatever their origins, these knights are a welcome addition – even with the error of heavily armored archers! I will have to get some – is the plastic soft or hard, pliable or brittle?
As for the “nationality of these guys, I’m not going to worry about it. As Erwin notes, they do seem to have a late Byzantine and Eastern flair but Daithi also makes a good argument. I looked up pictures of Crecy-era English knights and some of them do definitely resemble the figures above:

Plastic is standard soft typical used ,not PVC or rubber type .I sold out all mine i carry .
But very cheap get even from US suppliers here least instead direct from HK,been in market almost 4 years now.The castle’s walls match blend with SIMBA two castles styles to create a huge large city walls if like .The machines are original made as well.
The factory painted version i got early seems to be not found easy now .

This cannon is nice looking but I would be hesitant to fire something with a big chunk out of the muzzle like that! https://i1.wp.com/www.stadsstuff.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/013.jpg

    • ERWIN F SELL says:

The first canon looks odd and rare.First look appear as barel is a rust iron cannon type .Intesting find i think ..
I had seen HK pack Mego sets with copies of other sets from British brand ,i do not know if MEGO copp import HK copies or it was another MEGO HK importer brand .Never see this neat pack set before.

  5. Brian Johnson says:

RE:Missile trucks,as you can see in the pictures the missiles elevate and they also rotate 360 on the pedestals. The 2 SAM trucks the missiles are moulded to the truck, can’t be removed unless you want to take an exacto knife to them. The IRBM truck the missile does not go all the way up to straight vertical as a real one would. At least not on mine and I didn’t want to try forcing it,might just be the one I got.The IRBM and the MLRS truck the missiles are just red cones not a full missile in the container.PS $2CDN equals $1.57 USA .As you can see they are based on actual Chinese Missile trucks so a pretty good deal if you are into “Modern Day” collections and way cheaper than examples you can find on Ebay.

    • ERWIN F SELL says:

      Great find Brian !!!
They looks about 1/36 scale to me or not?
The angle of TM russian confuse me versus truck size ,sorry

  6. James says:

Some of those knights look like The Black Prince.

  7. James says:

But it is odd to see kights with bows and some mounted ones have a lance/axe combo!

  8. ERWIN F SELL says:

Not first time medieval knights are pose/depicted -made with bow or archers in heavy armor made .Britain deetail is a classic sample of it .In reality there historical depiction of heavy armor archers and or knights depicted with bows in medieval painting .See plenty ,same goes for crossbow men that in fact Genoese crossbowman have then with armor protection in several parts body as well according to description.
The general rules goes as archers of course were light troopers and base in english account in few battles ,but for most XV century light troops as sparman ,archers and others star using more heavy armor in general.Osprey books show some samples as well base in research of course….here is a simple -(hope can be see)
    photo of one …

    • ERWIN F SELL says:

Both battles of Poitiers and Crecy depiction in the era Froissart’s Chronicles manuscrits depict heavy armor english archers or knights with bows in quantities. They can be google easy to see in the net …
