German Plastic Show March 2018 Peter Bergner’s Report we have now his report. I don’t know how he does it. With running the show and his tables he somehow takes over two hundred photos. You can see the photos he took at here at this site.
German Plastic Show March 2018 Peter Bergner’s Report Peter’s Report
We had a great show weekend again’
Because of the 25th anniversary we set up on Saturday afternoon and went for diner with many friends after that, was very nice and relaxed
So on Sunday morning we had everything ready, which made it much more easier than usual.
The show crowd was the same like last year march and I really liked the show, my sales were good and I found a couple figures for myself
I’ve just glanced at the photos so far, and have to go back over each one of them to do them justice, but it looks just great.
Show promotors like Peter deserve the thanks of everyone in the hobby.
Now that my wife and I have retired to a small farming community in central Indiana, fellow toy soldier collectors seem to be few and far between, if I wasn’t fortunate enough to well-positioned between three great annual shows (Columbus, Lafayette, and Chicago), and to be able to once again regularly see so many of the established dealers, all of whom are tried & true collectors themselves.
I should mention that although I haven’t met any actual toy soldier collectors, all the carpenters, tradesmen, re-modelers, and farmers we’ve had occasion to come to our house in our first year down here — even the local Amish — all are absolutely fascinated to look at cabinets, shelves, and one big battleboard filled with toy soldiers, Marx tin litho, trees, and formtec forts and landscape formations. The current battleboard displays LOD Walls of Troy, Trojan Horse, and massed formations of LOD, Conte, Atlantic, and Expeditionary Force Greeks & Trojans. Everyone who sees it seems suitably impressed with the novelty of it. But it’s only at the shows that I get to have informed, intelligent discussions on the subject.
