Some photos from Timpo set up day. We will have alot more in the coming days.
The indian in yellow looks like a copy of a LINDE Austrian coffee premium, the two seated cowboys are French made by JSF (Jouets Standart Francaise) and were originally made in hollow cast lead.
Thank you for the information. about the cowboys do you have a photo or link where I could see the cowboys, maybe a catalog? Thank you.
Thanks Brian, I went to the link that you indicated and I was able to find the Cowboy sitting 311. Unfortunately I did not find the other cowboy. anyway thank you for your help.
The other figure, the trapper, is in one of the group pictures about 3/4 of the way down the page with several of the other figures from the set. Matthias has also added your pictures to the post.
Best wishes, Brian
I saw and one collector is shaking his head where did that turn up.
Hello,
may I use the picture of the seated JSF trapper for my forum (he’s pretty rare).
Thanks
Yes you can. Your readers may be shocked that it showed up in the U.S.
🙂 🙂 Lol, thank you
Hi, I was very surprised to know that cowboys are rare. Do you know the year they were raised? Do you have the catalog where these cowboys appear and if so, can you make it available for viewing or download?
There is book wrote made by Alain Thomas that included most poses made by then along others. He also had made several other books covering french production. There also a copy of catalog from 1950/60s plastic production as well ,cowboy seating is mark as pose 311.
To get contact about availability of his book, you may contact Alain Thomas at alain.thomas@live.be

Thank you Erwin.
Those miners are really going for it! Washing that dust down with the hard stuff. They came out great!
Thanks, Major! These are some of the best I’ve made. Funny part is that I don’t drink (any more)…….
Nice conversions! There is an English Civil War figure by CTS that is swigging back on a jug of something. That could be another conversion.
Sorry that was CTA not CTS. Call To Arms.
Thanks, Tom, for the idea! I think I have the right kind of loose arms to make something up. In your honor, I will name him “Blackie”!! Also, Barzso has an ACW camp “swigger” figure with a jug over his shoulder and there’s also a sitting ACW figure drinking from a cup. He’s Accurate or Imex or one of those.
The yellow indian could be possible Koho.It is listed in italian book as copy of such german brand sold under CRIO brand in late 70s till 80 along with other Koho brand western poses and indians.
Linde close pose is naked torso- chest .

Thanks Erwin, I continued to research and discovered that the yellow Indian is the brand Emirober, which was a company created by Lafredo, with the aim of making cheaper figures to sell in the “tiendas” of Spain.
Your welcome.
I will take the brand Emirober with salt for reasons…..
The problem is Emirober was a cheap line used by Lafredo to sale their line of big scales 10-14 cm big figures in not painted format in bags in cheap stores(Tiendas) call Kiosko (news papers small/food stores generally located in street corners ) and Pipero(gas stations stores) by Direct correct Spain translation ,not using Spanish generic language translation but the actual way they call those stores in Spain as a country .
Lafredo itself made exclusively unique sculpted figures that differ a lot of the figure in question .
These figures mold were created by artist Victor García Peñalver ,not By Lafredo itself as some claim.
While they also sold copies of other brands in the 70s ,possible after passing of owner pretty much.
More information could be found in two Spaniards book wrote by Juan Herminia as well several blogs.
Because under Emirober copies of Jecsan,Comansi ,PH and even Marx figures were sold it is very unlike to categorize such figures as original made by it same way Italian book list as copy of other .Yet the cheap color /plastic made of may be a typical sale under it brands.
Original Lafredo-later sold under Emirober figures design could be see here .
As well a mounted pose made by Lafredo that later was place in a base as foot pose and has a resemblance to figure in question.
You can see it here.

In general Emirober was a seller and copier of many others brands since 70s as well.
In 2012-2013 Marina Lazaro ,grand daughter of master Lafredo was in trial business to reproduce the original figures from original molds from Lafredo as she own the molds. So far all went to nothing because lack of funds and other problems .Unfortunately today markets it too hard to reproduce figures in large amount .May be one day …
Best….
Many thanks for the clarifications. I’m not doubting your information, do not get me wrong, so I’ll just try to justify why I wrote it was Emirober.
When I wrote that I found the figure, I was saying that I found it on this site as being Emirober

I also found information about Emirober here:

Again, I appreciate all the information you have given me.
Clayton
Not at all sir ,I agree you did well in finding out it was sold as by Emirober and blog from Juan Martin(Soldado plastico ) is a great simple source .His post about Emirober is correct but not deep explained.Still good reference of course.
As I mention before .The brand Emirober was used by Lafredo as well others to sale their copies. Because so many copies were sold under this unfortunately is hard determine x now the real mold original maker of specific pose .But definetely it was sold by then and the Italian book claiming was sold under Crio may be right too so the figure could had been sold copied by various.
“Todo collecion” site is the main Spain,Portugal WEB store alike competition of Ebay ,many seller unfortunately sale their figures and label=name then under any brand either by mistake ,resemblance or intentional to bring attention as sellers in eBay does. A confirmed mint pack of the figures would do a better recognition I will think.Yet I will admit is more liked Emirober brand as you find out.
Glad you got your figures all recognition resolved so quick.
Best regards.
