I did a indoor flea market last weekend. This flea market can be mostly hit or miss.  This time it was more a miss as the toy soldiers were china pieces.  I did find some odd figures. First I found this strange guy with a fried pan on his head. He is resin.

In the same box as the fry pan man was these strange figures.  I don’t what to say about them just strange. I paid a whole dollar for the figures.

From another dealer I found some other figures.  This figure is from Wilton the cake decoratoring company. It is dated 1977. The figure may be a lion trainer.

The other figures I found from the same dealer. A woman on horse possible game piece.  The man to right might be a Corgi figure.  The dwarf or gnome with the rake will go in Laurie’s collection. The President Grant I will set aside as find more Presidents for resale.  These figures along the wilton figure plus three Hong  skiers cost me $2.00.

Here we have two Spanish figures.  Both figures are by Reamsa. The preist  has a similar pose to the Starlux medeival preist.   Difference is the Starlux preist has both arms raised.

Finally we have these two odd cowboys. The one on left is 70mm and is in a rubber like material. The one on the right is 45mm and is a flat. I have no idea who made them.

  1. Markus says:

The 70mm cowboy is East German production by Emil Bayer KG, later VEB (state owned factory) Spielzeugland (toy country) list no. 962/2. Name speculation is Billy the Kid.
If the 45mm is hard plastic it could be Siku of Western Germany. They did a small line of cowboys and indians and a bigger line of civilians to go with their model cars.
So its a kind of east meets west.

Reamsa knight is Prince valiant character. The dwarf is one of 7 by Heisner /Germany.I have full set plus snow white in light plastic
It was copied by Japan and later HK as cake topper set.I can not see from picture if is original or not.
    Best

The Corgi figure is from a set of construction workers. This one was pushing a wheelbarrow which is missing.

Thanks for telling where he was from.

      • Mark T. says:

At first I though the Corgi figure was Steven Austin, the Bionic Man. He looks just like him.

Those grey zombie looking guys remind me of characters from a video game my son plays called Plants vs. Zombies.

I know I have seen the Dwarf with the rake before. I think I saw a range of them at a German store my mother used to go to to get magazines and deli foods when I was a kid.

WOW ! Seen some funny / strange figures before, but the fry pan guy and friends might take the cake ! Foreign TV show characters ? Japan? South America?
