Karate figure Sets Ones You May Have Never Seen Two Sets
So far in actual Karate and Judo or other Japanese art martial very few had been done. Britain set is well known. Few loose sport series were made by promotional brands.
Here are few less known sets figures made more recently and not quite new too. I will post two here only for now
Sold and or made by Sutton Plastic Corp .Sold under this less know brand in bags are these 50 mm figures representing Karate fighters in Karategi type kimono with western faces . So far made in red green, blue and black as far I had seen. They are very hard to find.
They are not common seen around and still very varied large pose set ever made in Karate figures in these sale as far I know.
The original bag I got has 15 poses. I do not know if more poses were made. I had compare with other blog set post and so far are same.
Another set made in China by Hinstar. This carded set was distributed in Spain by Extracosmos.
The card has four poses once again have western faces in fighters poses. Figures are very well done factory painting and in 60mm approx as I had not open this mint pack yet.
Another not quite fighter but looks alike in gestures of unknown maker to me till now is this .Made in China in rare heavy PVC material type with letters Tri-Sia !?
Figure with green pants and white shirt
Anybody know where it is belong from? (Admin look at MacDonald’s Hook set Peter Pan)
Bruce Lee full set poses as well other Judo sets from Japan will be in future posts.
Erwin, this is very interesting. I certainly have never seen these before. Noting the “Kung Fu” header card, do the Sutton figures date back to the 1970s or did they appear later?
As far i know are from 70s .Yes funny they wrote Kung Fu in all cards pack i had seen ,When i bough these i got three mint card in one lot very cheap all ,then resold other two after counting every pose to make sure i got all.The Fantasy blog has a set listed in same poses .Interesting they did so many poses in actual Karate movement style very well depicted.

Sorry Daniel …
The back card has 1971 on it in bottom corner ,all cards indicate had 16 poses ,mine as well in fantasy blog shows 15 poses only ,i do not know why !?
Maybe and as theory only-May had been a mold damage probably in later production and figures design is actually older than 1971.
See then at this blog link too that show Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris set i carry imported too from Mexico(AMEX Brand) and Blog owner bough from me as well .http://fantasytoysoldiers.blogspot.com/2016/01/ninjas-kung-fu-part-2-kung-fu-sucker.html
