There are two more reality shows related to collecting I want to talk about. The first is Market Warriors on PBS. This one was train wreck even before the Fred Willard Debacle. The concept is four dealers go to various flea markets and have to buy items which will be sent to auction. The one who makes the most money wins. The problem is the contest is divided into two parts. The first part they have to look for a certain item such as cut glass. The second part they can buy any item. The problem is the items will go to auiction where very few of the items will meet the price they paid for it. Also they have gone to some higher class flea markets.
The other show is on the SFY channel called Collector Intervention. The show tries to help people get a control of their collecting habits and Collections. One person had their whole house with Star Wars items. The other was a person who collects Catwoman, Because of his wife upset he will spend money on toys before paying the bills he had to keep his collection in the garage. this cause items to lose value and he did not know he had certain items. This is a show that you do not let your significant other see especially if you call your toys “your friends” as woman who collected Star Wars did. Laurie got bored and annoyed with show due to the attutides of the collectors. Laurie wanted to shake some sense into the woman who seem to forget they are toys. It is a show not for the faint of heart.
