CTS New Arab Figure Set From Mexico we just got word and photos from Jim McGough of CTS. They have gotten a new set of Marx Arab conversion figures to add to your scenes.
CTS New Arab Figure Set From Mexico The Figures
Here is What Jim told me.
Finally the new Arab figures from Mexico have arrived. There are 6 new (converted) Marx figures. They are the same basic size as the first remade set of figures, with a standing figure about 2 1/2″ tall. The original Marx Arab standing figure is 2 5/8″.Quality is on par with the first remade set.
The mounted figure fits pretty good on both the camel and the Marx reissue cavalry horse.
Colors are Wine red, tan, silver, khaki, purple, and light gray.
Jim has not given any breakdown on price or how many figures are in a set other than there are six different poses. as soon as we have word we will post it.

CTS New Arab Figure Set From Mexico Comparsion
Jim sent us some comparsion photos of the old Marx 60mm Arab figures with the new conversions that were done. Here we have the Marx Arab standing with knife with the Arab with knife and rifle.
Here we have the new Arab advancing with rifle overhead with the old Marx Arab advancing with rifle across waist.
CTS New Arab Figure Set From Mexico Final Thoughts
These figures will fill in a gap for collectors of giving new poses for your Foreign Legion Scenarios. To do your own conversion could be quite expensive. Damage figures can easilycost youbetween $5.00 and $10.00. Then you would have to make the new figure.
Let’s us know your reaction.
CTS New Arab Figure Set From Mexico Update
We have gotten prices on these figures. Here is the information.
My reaction is: I’m impressed, and I hope they do even more of this kind of thing. But, of course, I’m a fan of all things French Foreign Legion, and have been since I regularly watched Captain Gallant on TV back in first and second grade.
And I think the fact that they are “moulded” into the conversion shape is an attractive feature.
And the fact that these copy/conversions are just slightly undersize compared
to the original Marx figures is no problem at all. I already have nearly a hundred of the Mexican Arab copies (from CTS and Erwin) so these new ones will fit right in to make a nice large force of attacking Arabs.
I also appreciate the wide choice of colors CTS is offering.
I meant “molded”, not “moulded”.
But getting these new Marx-copy Arabs is almost as exciting as the new LOD War at Troy series.
I don’t collect FFL, even though my first Marx playset was Captain Gallant at Christmas 1956, but I am glad to see CTS making more new figures & wish them all the best. Jim has been around for a long time & seems to be doing well.
I’m definitely in – FFL isn’t one of my primary eras or subjects but I grew up on “Beau Geste” and “Under Two Flags” – not to mention a dozen other not so memorable films and books. My only question is – is where and when can we get them? I went to the site and couldn’t find them.
Wayne ,here is CTS direct page arabs sale link or just search under marx arabs and scroll down.

Thanks Erwin, I was searching the wrong terms somehow – got everything BUT them. Got them now, though.
Classic Toy Soldiers (CTS) just posted these new Arabs, along with many of the previous Arab and FFL sets, on it’s website. David Payne confirms the new figures are in-house and ready to ship.
I’m waiting for mine. I think the ETA is supposed to be Monday, but CTS is usually ahead of schedule if the stuff is in stock.
