MFCA VALLEY FORGE 2007

This year we went to the MFCA show as Plastic Warrior move their show to February. As we were getting ready for the show, Laurie got a call from our very good Gerry Watts  would not be there. He had hurt his back and was in pain. He did show up on Saturday but the amount he had with him was down.  Our very good friend John arrived and we headed to the show.

Joe Saine and Tony Greco discussing a item.

We arrived at the show in a record time and entered the show. The first thing we noticed was the lack of people and the number tables. The number of tables was down. We started to walk around and found Tony Greco selling mix lot of metal, plastic and composition figures. We found a number of plastic figures for resale in two visits to his table. I heard that he had some good items that went early in the show. We then went looking for the Conte Collectibles plastic GI figure with submachine gun and schmeiser. This figure is such over the top figure I wanted it for the collection. The figure is not an easy one to find I had to buy it on the card. It is a well done figure.

One of George's displays

I looked to see if there were any new items. I did see George Guerrio had the new AIP Russian Napoleonics for $10.00, but forgot to pick them up. I did get from the Marxman two of the Hunting sets I was missing. I did not see any of of the new items, this was because most of the new items were not in the states and will have to be purchased at a later show.

These were wooden gun boats that some one was selling at $200.00 each

The old items were limited in their quality. I did buy some items from Germany for resale, but the Marx items were not in budget or resale. Rick Ebert had for sale Seth Adams, Flint McCullough, Wyatt Earp and Jim Hardy for $200.00. He had the large Marx Tanks for $50.00. Collector Tim Stein had gotten several items from Rick to help him to complete his collection. Another regular plastic dealer was Allan Ford. Allan had a nice mix lot, but did not have much in Lord of the Rings as he was holding it for Chicago.

Gary Dutko's trays of  figure conversions. I was told he sold out of all his Arabs.

We looked at the exhibit of figures and left after two hours. John had gotten a few items from Tony and had gotten some metal items he was looking for. The show is moving to Delaware next year which should lead to to lower table costs.

Here is some of the items including the Marx character figures
